Review of the car owner Volkswagen Passat 2006
Hello everybody. I am writing my first review of my first car. As you may have guessed, I am subordinate to the Volkswagen Passat B6. I see how everyone is sharing their impressions, so I was eager to tell about my own.
I had to change seats on this horse after the Ford Focus 1.6 MT 2004g.v. I had to because I got VW for ½ of its market price. Where do you ask such heavenly manna - I will answer: a present from heaven. Ford was taken by my relative, and I sat on the trade wind. I've been driving VW for almost a year, the mileage during this time has grown from 56,000 to 73,000. I want to emphasize that on duty I have been dealing with this concern and have seen a lot, so I look at many things with the understanding that this is just a piece iron which, if it does not break, will not be beneficial to the manufacturer. After all, the plant must earn money on spare parts (this applies to all car manufacturers). And now in more detail.
This car is equipped with a 2L gasoline engine. 150hp with direct injection, the so-c Volkswagen Passat 2006 Black alled FSI. 6MKPP transmission.
1. Noisy operation of the internal combustion engine (I consider it a trifle)
2. If you do not replace the timing belt for about 80 thousand km (preferably with rollers and with a coolant pump), then not having passed the prescribed time (according to the new regulation 90 thousand km), the timing belt may break, and for this engine this defect is fraught with bending of the valves - if will happen at idle speed, or even worse, damage to the guide valves - if it breaks off at high speed, and from this follows the replacement of the cylinder head (the dealer has more than 200 thousand rubles), or our kulibins will grind the guides, press them in, and of course after that the car is put on sale.
3. Launching in the winter (or rather, not launching) was decided on ICE data about 2 years ago - the Germans did not believe that they would not start at -25. Until they were brought to Russia in the cold, then they came up with a new software for the ICE control unit, I want to note at the moment there is even more relevant software from the Germans (the so-called 24L7 action is available from the official dealers, and even if it was carried out, the ICE is updated anyway). Having up-to-date software, I could not start my horse only once at minus 35, and then because of a weak battery.
4. Light periodic vibration on the body from the internal combustion engine is the norm (and on 98 gasoline is absent).
1. Quite vigorous ICE due to manual transmission is especially noticeable on 98 gasoline, but still not for racers.
2. Short gears - which allows you to accelerate without shifting to a lower gear.
3. Economical in terms of fuel consumption: city 10l / 100km, highway 7l / 100km, this is a less quiet ride.
4. The consumption of oil (castrol) for my device is up to 1 liter per 10 thousand km
The chassis of this car is simple (unlike the previous multi-link). Repair is simple and elementary. For many, only a knock in the rail can be observed, which intensifies in cold weather. There are two ways to solve the knock on the rail - 1) accept it and drive, 2) replace it with a rail of the so-called third generation. Fortunately, I have no knocking.
I think the interior of the car is excellent, everything is in the right place where it should be, the quality of materials is an order of magnitude higher than Toyota, but worse than in Audi (if you use similar materials, then this will be Audi). You can't get away from squeaks - they are on all cars. Alcantra leather interior is a class, but real leather is only in places of increased friction and where there is heating. The leather substitute has excellent hold. The salon is spacious, but at the same time it is difficult for a tall person to sit on the front seats because of the low roof. The heater fan whistles a little as it is located in front of the filter and takes over all the dirt first.
Safety comes first - that's why a bunch of airbags are belts with pretensioners. I want to note, due to the great attention to safety, the car is picky about battery drawdown - errors may occur that are removed only by the scanner.
